WhatsApp has changed the way some businesses are charged for messages in India.
From October 1, 2026, businesses using the WhatsApp Business Platform may have to pay for some customer-service and business messages.
Businesses will get 1,000 free service replies every month for each business phone number. After that, charges may apply.
For normal WhatsApp users, nothing changes. You can continue sending messages as usual.
