■ The National Testing Agency (NTA) is inviting applications for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) for June 2024. This esteemed exam serves multiple purposes:

1. It determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions, which provide financial assistance to students pursuing research in Indian universities.

2. It assesses candidates for Assistant Professor positions in universities and colleges across India.

3. It acts as an entrance exam for Ph.D. programs in 83 different subjects.

4. The application window is open from April 20, 2024, to May 10, 2024 (until 11:50 PM). The exam will be conducted on June 16, 2024. 

5. The test will be administered in OMR (Pen & Paper) format and will cover a wide range of 83 subjects.

How to apply for UGC NET June 2024?

Step 1: Go to the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the 'New Registration' button and register yourself

Step 3: Login using the registration details and fill out the application form

Step 4: Upload the required documents and pay the application fee

Step 5: Submit and download the application form

Step 6: Take a printout of the same for future reference.

Application Fee Structure

The application fee for the UGC NET June 2024 exam varies depending on your category:

● General/Unreserved: Rs. 1150/-

● General-EWS/OBC-NCL: Rs. 600/-

● SC/ST/PwD & Third Gender: Rs. 325/-
