Exciting news for cricket fans! The final of the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will be held at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. The tournament will run from June 12 to July 5, 2026, with 12 teams competing for the title.
This marks the third time in a row that an ICC World Cup final in England will be played at Lord’s. The venue also hosted the finals of the 2017 Women’s ODI World Cup and the 2019 Men’s ODI World Cup—both won by England.

Apart from Lord’s, six more stadiums will host matches:

-Headingley (Leeds)
-Edgbaston (Birmingham)
-The Oval (London)
-Hampshire Bowl (Southampton)

The 12 teams will be split into two groups of six, playing a total of 30 league matches before the knockouts.

A Big Moment for Women’s Cricket
ICC Chair Jay Shah said that hosting the final at Lord’s is a “defining moment” for the sport. He believes the tournament will bring excitement and help grow interest in women’s cricket ahead of its return to the Olympics in 2028.
The ECB’s CEO Richard Gould added that this will be the biggest women’s cricket event ever held in England and Wales. He hopes it will attract new fans and inspire more people to follow the women’s game.
