ISRO is Unstoppable

🚨 ISRO took 46 years for 100 spacecraft launches from Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.

ISRO's historic 100th launched on 29.01.2025. 🌌Here’s the mighty GSLV-F15  launched the NVS-02 satellite.

It was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota with a 2,250 kg guidance satellite named NVS-02.

ISRO said that the NVS-02 satellite will monitor land, sea and air traffic and provide accurate information during disasters.

ISRO's Space Journey: From First Rocket to Moon Landing & Beyond 🚀

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has made huge progress from launching its first rocket in 1963 to landing on the Moon’s south pole in 2023. With nearly 100 launch missions completed, ISRO is now planning a crewed lunar mission by 2040 and an Indian space station by 2035. Here are some of its biggest milestones:

Early Space Missions (1960s-1970s)
- 1963 - India’s first rocket, Nike-Apache (from the US), launched from Thumba.
- 1969 - ISRO was officially founded, replacing INCOSPAR.
- 1975 - India’s first satellite, Aryabhata, launched by a Soviet rocket but lost signals after five days.
Rocket Launches & Breakthroughs (1980s-1990s)
- 1980 - SLV-3 successfully launched Rohini 1B, making India the 6th country to launch a satellite on its own.
- 1992 - First successful ASLV launch, placing the SROSS-C satellite in orbit.
- 1994 - First successful PSLV launch, carrying the IRS-P2 satellite.

Major Achievements with GSLV & PSLV (2000s-2010s)
- 2001 - GSLV successfully launched GSAT-2, using a Russian-made cryogenic engine.
- 2008 - Chandrayaan-1, India’s first Moon mission, discovered water molecules on the Moon.
- 2014 - First successful GSLV MKII launch with India’s own cryogenic engine.

Chandrayaan Missions & Lunar Success (2019-2023)
- 2019 - Chandrayaan-2 attempted a Moon landing but crash-landed; its orbiter remained active for scientific studies.
- 2023 - Chandrayaan-3 successfully landed on the Moon's south pole, making India the 4th country to do so.
   - The Vikram lander deployed the Pragyan rover.
Pragyan found a 160 km-wide buried crater on the Moon.
  -  Designed to last 14 Earth days, the lander and rover performed beyond expectations.

Upcoming Missions (2024-2025 & Beyond)
- 2024 - Gaganyaan-1 🧑‍🚀: India’s first uncrewed test flight for human spaceflight is scheduled for March  2025, carrying Vyommitra, a humanoid robot.
- 2025 - NISAR 🌍: A NASA-ISRO Earth observation mission, launching in early 2025, to provide high-resolution data on climate changes, disasters, and natural hazards.
- 2025 - NVS-02 (IRNSS-1K) 🛰️: A navigation satellite set for launch on January 29, 2025, to enhance India's regional GPS system.
- 2025 - DISHA Satellites 🌌: Two satellites to study the Earth’s ionosphere and its effects on communication and navigation.

ISRO continues to push boundaries in space exploration, with future plans including missions to Venus, Mars, and beyond!

Stay inspired! 🚀 #ISRO🚀
