India's First Autonomous College of Education
Sri Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya College of Education (Autonomous), founded in 1950, is a premier institution of higher education located near Coimbatore. It is a unit of Ramakrishna Mission Vidyalaya, Coimbatore, spread over 300 acres. This institution is the first Autonomous College of Education in India, affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University and re-accredited with A+ Grade by NAAC (CGPA 3.42). Courses are recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi. The College aims at man-making and character-building education as advocated by Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda and Mahatma Gandhi.
