■ The National Testing Agency (NTA) is inviting applications for the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) for December 2024. This esteemed exam serves multiple purposes:
1. It determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) positions, which provide financial assistance to students pursuing research in Indian universities.
2. It assesses candidates for Assistant Professor positions in universities and colleges across India.
3. It acts as an entrance exam for Ph.D. programs in 85 different subjects.
4. The application window is open from November 19, 2024, to December 10, 2024 (until 11:50 PM). The exam will be conducted on 1 January 2025 to 19 January 2025
5. The test will be administered in CBT (Computer Based Test) format and will cover a wide range of 85 subjects.
How to apply for UGC NET June 2024?
Step 1: Go to the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the 'New Registration' button and register yourself
Step 3: Login using the registration details and fill out the application form
Step 4: Upload the required documents and pay the application fee
Step 5: Submit and download the application form
Step 6: Take a printout of the same for future reference.
Application Fee Structure
The application fee for the UGC NET June 2024 exam varies depending on your category:
● General/Unreserved: Rs. 1150/-
● General-EWS/OBC-NCL: Rs. 600/-
● SC/ST/PwD & Third Gender: Rs. 325/-
